The Nokia Lumia 635 is beginning to replace the Lumia 520, the perennial champ of the bang for the bug. The LTE-enabled Lumia 635 will cost just $100 if you get it with a GoPhone pre-paid plan starting July 25. A couple of weeks later on August 8 the phone will become available commitment-free at $140.
You can also sign up for AT&T Next 18 for $5.84 a month or Next 12 for $7 a month. AT&T Next charges a monthly fee but lets you upgrade your phone sooner – after 18 months and 12 months respectively.
The Nokia Lumia 635 will become the cheapest LTE-enabled smartphone on AT&T's network. For comparison, the old Nokia Lumia 520 usually goes for $60 (it lacks LTE and has a smaller screen).
The Microsoft store is currently offering the Lumia 635 for T-Mobile but without contract at $130.
