Nokia’s ‘Selfie’ phone is real and as expected it’s called the Lumia 730, which was made official at the pre-IFA event held by Microsoft.
A Lumia 735 variant will have 4G LTE, while there’s also a dual-SIM version planned for primarily 3G markets like India. The dual SIM Lumia 730 is priced at €199 (Rs 15,000), while the Lumia 735 has been priced at 219 euros.
The Lumia 730 will still carry the Nokia branding but it’s been launched after the Microsoft takeover of the handset business. Thanks to the focus on selfies, Nokia and Microsoft are talking up the front camera of the Lumia 730, which has a f/2.4 22mm wide-angle lens and a 5 megapixel sensor. It will come with a Lumia Selfie app preloaded, that lets users tweak images with beautification effects, filters, and teeth whitening. That’s the headline feature of course, but there’s more to the Lumia 730 than just its front camera.
